Christmas in July

Another beautiful Monday has arrived!

I hope your weekend was restful and repenishing - and if not that - productive! Mine was both.

During the month of July there is a campaign for donations to the Crisis Center - Christmas in July. Please donate non-perishable food items to the food bank!

Compeer's picnic is coming up in August! There weill be Bocci Ball, Bean Bags, a couple of word games, and great food, great people, great conversation! All of you involved with Compeer are Welcome to come! Please RSVP Karen at 338-7884 or kfox@meimhc.org.

Good Morning!

I have returned from vacation. We moved back into our rebuilt home last week. It's great to be home!

Compeer is always looking for people who are compassionate, caring, and like to spend time with people. Become a Compeer volunteer and make a new friend!

It's Monday again

Good Morning!

Compeer is happy to announce that we have made two more matches! We now have 25 active matches and 12 people on our waiting list. We hope to continue to find new volunteers to match those currently on our wait list as well as the new people who are continually referred to our program.

Consider becoming a volunteer. It's a great way to make a new friend as well volunteer in a capacity that can make a profound difference in another person's life!

It has turned into a beautiful Monday in Iowa City! We had a small but very nice turnout on Friday night at Dawn's. Thanks to those who came. If you are one of the severap people there who decided to volunteer for Compeer we're looking forward to having you join our team of caring and compassionate people!

Thanks to Karen Kubby for First Friday Coffee House. The food was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Volunteer opportunity

Good morning on this beautiful Monday in Iowa City!

Please join us at Dawn's Hide and Beadaway this Friday evening, the 5th from 5:00-8:00. It should be a good time. See our website for more information.

We are always looking for caring, compassionate volunteers to become friends to the clients referred to us by mental health professionals. If you have an hour a week to do some meaningful one-on-one volunteering - just spending time with a new friend and doing things together that you both enjoy, please contact me!
